Staff

	Dr. Jayendra J. Lakhmapurkar Dy. Director 15 years of research experience in the field of coastal and marine environment, Sediment texture, Geomorphology, Remote sensing, Geological field surveys, Hydrogeology. Associated with GES since 1996 and involved in 25 projects of the society with 6 publications.

	Dr. Deepa J. Gavali Dy. Director 16 years of experience in the field of flora and faunal identification, Ecological studies, Wetlands ecology, Impact of air pollution, Biodiversity conservation. Associated with GES since 1999 and was associated with 20 projects of the society and has 16 publications in national and International journal.

	Mr. Narayan Jadia Dy. Manager (Accounts & Administration) Has 25 years of experience in accounts and administration of private limited companies and Trust and NOGs.

	Dr. Sonal Deshkar Senior Ecologist 6 year research experience in the field of wetland and avian ecology, physico-chemical analysis of fresh water and marine samples and wildlife. Has presented 7 papers in various National and International conference within the country.

	Mr. Nimit Joshi Ecologist Graduation and postgraduation from micriobiology and Marine biology. Done postgraduate Certificate in Ocean Observatories’ under NF-POGO Centre of Excellence programme at Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, Bermuda.

	Mr.Hitesh Vasawa Junior Ecologist MSc. in Geoinformatics from Mangalore University. He has expertise and working experience in GIS and remote sensing, using various sofwares. Has working experience 5 years in various projects like climate change, GIS application on vegetation studies, costal and marine environment. 5 publications, technical reports to the credit

Strong Scientific Database

Creation and lodging of multidisciplinary ecological database is considered as one of the main components of all programmes of GES.

GES derives its strength from networking and integrating the inputs by eminent scientists and specialists in distinct disciplines from various agencies in the country in general and Gujarat in particular.
